Nigerians in Columbus celebrate Independence

A musical event will hold Friday October 3 in Columbus, Ohio, USA as part of celebration of the 54th Nigerian Independence.
Interestingly, the event is being organized by an American, Aaron Carter-Cohen, a doctoral student in music theory at the Ohio State University, OSU with the Yoruba Club 21 as co-sponsor.
According to an email by Professor Adeleke Adeeko of the Ohio State University, Columbus, “the event will feature a live band which will be playing Highlife classics like 'Sweet Mother', 'Taxi Driver', 'Oni Dodo' and many more.”
The two-hour musical event which will hold at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (OSU campus) on 30 W. Woodruff and N. High Street will begin at 6pm.
